Not enough time to devote

Play one game a week for a fixed timeframe (3 hours).  All games are on Sundays.

 

Thought softball was the only option

Softball is not baseball – come back to the game you loved growing up!

 

Disliked trying to hit (and avoid getting hit by!) 80+mph fastballs, and could not hit the giant breaking curves

In older leagues, pitchers must be at least 32 years old, so it is easier to hit (and harder to get hit!)

 

Sat on the bench while more skilled (or favorite!) players played

Cannot sit out two innings in a row, unless your choice

 

Pulled in the 4^th inning to “give the younger kids a chance”

Everyone plays the entire game unless your choice

 

Getting to bat only 1 or 2 times a game

Everyone must bat the entire game, unless your choice

 

Too many practices

Team practices are not sanctioned, and never mandatory

 

Tryouts and getting cut

Everyone plays – NO TRYOUTS or GETTING CUT!

 

Win at all cost attitudes of coaches with danger of injury greater

Overly competitive play (blocking plate, etc.) outlawed

 

Too much effort in volunteering, getting uniforms, finding a team to join, etc.

Don't worry, we do just about everything for you including placing you on a team.  Just show up at the scheduled games with your supplied uniform, your own glove and shoes, and be ready to play!
